Gas leaks are a serious issue. Call the fire department immediately if you suspect your home may be in danger of a gas leak. Once your home has been properly assessed and the gas has been shut down, our
plumbing and heating company will come to replace the leaking gas piping lines and file all the necessary permits and gas test inspections required for your utility company to restore the gas back to your home. In Westchester County, we are OQ (Operator Qualified) ConEdison Certified Installers - and approved to work on your location. In contrast, many licensed plumbers in Westchester do not hold this special ConEdison credentialing.

Natural gas and propane are popular energy sources for heating your home. Natural gas is environmentally friendly. When burned, it produces virtually no sulfur dioxide emissions and far lower levels of greenhouse gases and nitrogen. This "cleanliness" makes it a popular household energy source. However, natural gas is only available in some places.
Propane gas, on the contrary, is widely available and gaining popularity. It burns efficiently, is clean, and is relatively economical to run. Gas burners also require less maintenance than oil burners, making them more convenient.

Question: I have a Heil high-efficiency gas furnace. A few months ago, the inducer motor came on, but no hot air began to blow. I called the
repairman, who told me I had a clogged pilot orifice and that this was an unusual problem. Now I am concerned about two things:
The other question is, yes, it will likely happen again, but only once the furnace sits for the whole summer again. Because the furnace is not used over the summer months, you get a little condensation, which can cause the very thin orifice to clog up; this is not unusual and is nothing to worry about. If the repair person cleaned it out well enough, you would not have any more problems with it for the rest of this heating season.
The motor will not overheat. You do not need to worry about a thing.
Don't DIY; call the gas piping experts at (914) 276-3756 today for repairs and maintenance.
